Hi, I’m Gilda. With over 20 years of experience in architecture, I’ve had the pleasure of working on projects both big and small—luxury hotels, mixed-use spaces, residential homes, schools, and now, projects just like yours.

After years of working for various firms in Barcelona and London, I took a leap in 2014 to start Metre Squared Architecture, focusing on home extensions and refurbishments. It’s a decision I cherish every day, as it’s given me the chance to share my knowledge and creativity directly with clients.

I’m passionate about crafting sustainable, contemporary spaces that blend light and design to make homes comfortable and happy places.

I also take a strong interest in healthy building practices, including breathable materials, appropriate ventilation strategies and thoughtful detailing that supports long-term building performance and indoor environmental quality.​

As an experienced architect, he collaborates with the practice during the early project preparation stage, assisting with site measurements, survey drawings and initial documentation. This helps to ensure a clear and accurate starting point for the design process.
